Andrea Minini 

 In collaboration with artist Andrea Minini, I took on an editorial role in bringing his works to life through the publication/interview project, 30 Min. The result was a visually stunning publication that pays tribute to Andrea Minini's talent and creative use of the Moire effect in his graphics.

30 Min was chosen as the featured cover of 2020 edition of RISD XYZ ’s print.
The depicted illustrations are the exclusive property of Andrea Minini. The project was graciously endorsed by Andrea Minini and has been authorized for utilization within this context. This project is not commercially accessible and does not pursue profit motives. Once more, sincere gratitude is extended to Andrea Minini for consenting to participate in this interview.

Layout & Form

The publication’s layout was carefully designed to complement Minini’s distinctive artistic style, emphasizing a thoughtful balance between negative space and bold visual elements. 

Ample negative space was intentionally incorporated to not only highlight Minini’s vibrant colors and striking forms but also to enhance the visibility of the moiré effect present in the artwork. By providing enough breathing room around these intricate patterns, the layout ensured that the optical effects remained crisp and undistorted, allowing viewers to fully appreciate the interplay between color, form, and texture without visual clutter. 

This contrast between minimalist composition and dynamic artwork created a visually engaging experience while maintaining a sense of elegance and clarity in the overall presentation.
